The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to deal Jack Eichel to the Vegas Golden Knights, according to multiple media reports on Thursday.
The deal, pending a trade call, reportedly sees Eichel on his way to the desert – along with a 2023 third-round draft pick – in exchange for Alex Tuch, Peyton Krebs, a first-round pick in 2022, and a third-round pick in 2023.

Eichel, 24, was stripped of his captaincy this fall by the Sabres, following a widening rift between the player and organization over how to treat a neck injury that has sidelined the centre for more than seven months.
The centre has five years left on an eight-year, $80 million US contract and features a no-trade clause which kicks in next summer.
More to come.
