Canadian Florence Maheu fell shy of the women’s canoe slalom final, placing 23rd in the semifinals on Tuesday in Tokyo.
The Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Que., native finished with a time of 152.37 seconds.
Australia’s Jessica Fox emerged as the winner of the semifinal at 105.85 seconds, followed by Slovakia’s Eliska Mintalova who finished in 107.18 seconds and Germany’s Ricarda Funk, timed at 107.96 seconds.
Only the top 10 out of 24 competitors qualified for the final, which will take place later Tuesday.
