Home sales were up 2.3 per cent in February, even as the number of newly listed properties fell, according to a report released Wednesday by the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA).

Number of new property listings fell 7.9 per cent

Home sales were up 2.3 per cent in February, even as the number of newly listed properties fell, according to a report released Wednesday by the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA).

In January, home sales were the lowest for the month since 2009 and down 37.1 per cent compared with a year ago.
