Portrait of Willie O’Ree, first Black player in the NHL, unveiled at Beaverbrook Art Gallery

The painting is the work of Tim Okamura, an Edmonton-born artist who now lives in New York. O’Ree’s portrait was unveiled on the 65th anniversary of his first NHL game.
